The War of Art by Steven Pressfield

Review ★★★★

This felt like a book that could easily have been a blog post but despite this, it was quite a good read. This book focuses on the idea of ‘resistance’, that force that keeps us from sitting down and doing our best work. It suggests that the work we feel is so difficult to do (writing, painting, exercising) is precisely the work which we must do. Though the advice seems trite in a modern world focused on work and productivity, I still found good advice in these pages. Recommend for those struggling to pursue their true passions or make time for their hobbies.

Read in 2017.
