The author clearly has an excellent grasp of mathematics and the material within is presented so methodically and with an emphasis on applicability that I wished I'd read this prior to studying mathematics in school and university - it makes clear what so many teachers and lecturers were unable to do and lays a solid platform of context and reason for the tools of algebra, calculus, and even the number system itself. Recommended.
