In Praise of Idleness and Other Essays

by Bertrand Russell

Review ★★★

I like the conception of idleness here more than that articulated in How to Do Nothing; not as a stance against work but simply as an active form of rest and regeneration. Idleness is not sleeping or napping or only thinking, it is more like engaging hobbies and listening to the radio. This is a regenerative mode I can get behind.
