by Rich Roll
A pretty inspirational memoir written by an out-of-shape lawyer turned endurance athlete/wellness advocate. Roll writes in a straightforward way and includes plenty of detail about his nutrition and sporting achievements, both of which I enjoyed. I felt his insistence that the 'plant power' (read: vegan) diet was a little overzealous but I understand it was effective for him and is part of his overarching wellness coaching business model so I cannot really take huge issue with it. Overall, the writing felt snappy and the book was peppered with incredible stories, positioned primarily as a motivational memoir which is good but not exactly the type of writing I enjoy.
