Dancing in the Dark

by Karl Ove Knausgård

Review ★★★★½

Delves into Knausgaard’s early adulthood and challenges as a young writer and professional (school teacher) in Norway. Relentlessly honest, often shockingly so, this was a gripping narrative which portrays the complexities of balancing and managing family, relationships, and ambitions (particularly those of an artistic nature, which can seem so tenuous at times). Thoroughly enjoyed the writing and felt this was a strong addition to the series—already looking forward to starting on Book 5.
