Don't override distraction
An important lesson for my personal productivity
learning
productivity
- An important productivity lesson: don't try to force myself to keep working when it is clear I am distracted on a given activity. I shouldn't need to expend a lot of willpower to do something for personal use.
- Pushing harder on something I'm not interested in only serves to divide my motivation and focus. Best to switch activities and return when the interest and distraction has subsided.
- Distraction is a signal of boredom or tiredness; either way it needs to be respected.
